What to Expect During Your Phone Consultation
Compassionate Integrative Care—No Matter the Distance
Our telehealth phone consultations are designed for our canine and feline pet parents to provide you with meaningful guidance, compassionate support, and holistic recommendations for your cat or dog's care—even when you cannot be with us in person. During this consultation, our doctor will consider your pet’s whole-body health, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and comfort—not just symptoms.
We believe in connection, education, and partnership—even through the phone.
Before Your Call
Prior to your scheduled consultation, our team will gather and prepare your pet’s medical records, previous treatment history, and recent lab work (if provided). This review, along with the consultation itself, is included in your hourly billing time.
You can help by submitting:
📄 Previous veterinary records
🩺 Lab work, imaging, and specialty reports (if available)
📝 A summary of your pet’s symptoms, timeline, treatments, and concerns
During Your Call
Dr. Bartholomew will review and discuss:
🗂️ Your pet’s medical and lifestyle history
💊 Previous and current treatments and their effectiveness
🌿 Holistic treatment perspectives, including supplements, herbal medicine, acupuncture, laser therapy, shockwave, MagnaWave PEMF, ozone therapy, nutrition, Tui-na, and other TCVM care
❤️ Quality-of-life considerations and supportive care options
Because this is a phone-based consultation, we cannot prescribe or advise on conventional medications, controlled drugs, or non-holistic pharmaceuticals unless an established in-person Veterinary Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) already exists. However, we will review and recommend integrative, supportive, and holistic care strategies to help guide your pet’s wellness journey.
Collaborative Care Planning
Together, during the consultation, we will develop a personalized holistic care plan, which may include:
🌿 Herbal and integrative recommendations
✨ Nutritional and lifestyle support
🩺 Recommendations for in-person therapies (acupuncture, IV Vitamin C therapy, shockwave, laser, and more)
🔎 Suggestions for further diagnostics or lab work, if needed
🗓️ Follow-up consultation details
✨ Quality-of-life planning and supportive care
After Your Call
When the consultation concludes, you may be briefly placed on hold and then transferred to one of our kind reception team members who will:
✔ Complete checkout
✔ Schedule any follow-up appointments (phone, virtual, or in-clinic)
✔ Finalize supplement or herbal medicine orders
📦 Any supplements or herbal products will be mailed to you within 24 hours of purchase. Tracking information will be provided.
Billing Details
Phone consultations are billed in hourly increments.

The hourly fee covers:
⏱️ Time spent reviewing your pet’s medical records (within reason), AND
📞 Time spent consulting with you on the phone. -
If additional diagnostics or lab tests are recommended and completed later, an additional phone call to review those results will be provided at no charge, along with any updated treatment recommendations.
